About Clara
Dog Trainer - BSc (Hons), PG Dip, VSAPDT.
From a young age, I’ve always had a deep love for animals, growing up surrounded by every creature I could possibly convince my parents to let me have. Over time, that passion naturally focused on dogs and horses.
I went on to study BSc (Hons) Equine Science, graduating with First Class Honours, before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Therapy at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic.
Alongside my studies, I founded a small, bespoke doggy daycare in Wimbledon. I quickly realised I was most drawn to the interactions between the dogs themselves, and how behaviour, communication, and environment all shaped their experience.
This curiosity led me to pursue formal training in canine behaviour with the Victoria Stilwell Academy (VSA), where I studied dog psychology, learning theory, and behaviour in depth. I am now a certified dog trainer with the VSAPDT, working exclusively through positive reinforcement methods.
I continue to expand my knowledge within the field of canine behaviour, and will be undertaking an MSC in Clinical Animal Behaviour at the end of 2026, to qualify me as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist.

My approach
My background in both biological and psychological sciences allows me to take a whole-dog approach to training. Rather than focusing on isolated behaviours, I look at the full picture — your dog’s environment, emotions, learning history, and relationships — to create training plans tailored to you and your dog.
I am passionate about animal welfare and rescue. At home, I have an ex-racehorse and an Australian Shepherd with whom I enjoy training in my spare time.
